Why this structure works

The extra days are used to separate Yeongdo from Nampo and Gijang from Haeundae. That creates room for weather changes, museums, markets and meals without turning the eastern coast into a race between photo stops.

Before you build the timetable

  • Keep one day flexible for rain, sea conditions or a reservation-dependent activity.
  • Use Gijang only when its longer transfer supports something you genuinely want to do.
  • Repeat visitors can replace a beach day with a museum, temple programme or slower neighbourhood walk.

Markets first, coast on another day.

An Old City variation

  1. Choose Gamcheon for a daytime village walk and an optional craft stop. Use it instead of another hillside or Yeongdo stop, rather than adding every attraction.
  2. Transfer to Nampo for a small snack around BIFF Square.
  3. Browse Gukje Market; use the bedding checklist if shopping for home.
  4. Choose a full meal: Jagalchi seafood or pork soup. Leave room for it when buying snacks.

For a short rail day trip, skip Gamcheon if arrival and return times leave too little room. This is a route suggestion, not a fixed timetable.

A separate coastal day

  1. Build the day around a confirmed Sky Capsule or Beach Train plan; keep an alternative for sold-out slots.
  2. Allow time around Haeundae and an optional fish cake snack.
  3. If time and energy allow, transfer to Gwangalli for the bridge-facing evening waterfront.

Hwangnyeongsan is an optional alternative evening with a separately arranged return journey, not an extra stop you must squeeze in.
