Why this place matters
Gwangalli is a 1.4-kilometre urban beach facing the full span of Gwangan Bridge. The neighbourhood’s identity extends beyond the sand: cafés, restaurants and side streets form a dense evening district immediately behind the waterfront.
The bridge becomes the visual focus after dark, giving Gwangalli a different rhythm from Haeundae. It is often most rewarding when treated as a place to stay for sunset and dinner rather than a beach to check off quickly.

Use Gwangalli as the evening anchor of a coastal day. It pairs more naturally with nearby Millak or the museum district than with far-eastern Gijang stops.
