Why this place matters
Haeundae is Busan’s most recognised beach, with roughly 1.5 kilometres of sand backed by hotels, restaurants and major visitor facilities. The shallow bay and extensive accommodation make it the city’s most self-contained beach base.
Its convenience also means it can feel busy, especially in summer and during events. Haeundae works best when the surrounding district—not only the sand—is part of the plan.
Fit it into your trip
Choose Haeundae as a base if you want easy access to the eastern coast, Blueline Park and Gijang. If your trip is centred on Nampo and Yeongdo, staying here creates longer cross-city transfers.
